(Re) Introducing Myself

So much has been changing around here that I thought it might be time to reintroduce myself. I’m Kris Quintana. My pronouns are she and her. I am a wife, a daughter/sister/auntie/cousin, a child of G-d, a 5th degree black belt, a teacher, a speaker, and a coach. I’m also a cat-mom. (That’s #orion_the_cat, admiring himself.)
In 2017, I was in a car accident that gave me a concussion. For the last four years I have been recovering from Persistent Concussion Symptoms (PCS). At different times over the years, I found myself unable to do the very things that defined me – I couldn’t train or teach or sometimes even string words together correctly. It called into question my very sense of self.
In April of 2020 - when the “two week” shutdown had turned into a month, I started noticing that most people I knew were struggling with the same issues that had been shadowing my life for the prior two years: what if it never gets better? If I can’t X, who am I? How do I get back to how it was? People all around me were calling into question their very sense of self.
In 2021, my husband (the adorable man in 2nd photo) and I sold the martial arts program we’d built and run for 18 years. We had had the privilege to build a community, develop leaders, and transform lives every day. It was time for me to find a way to serve people beyond the mat.
Now I am looking forward to teaching these same concepts and more to clients who want to take their lives to the next level. I work with people who consider themselves high performers, who know that as good as it is now, it can get even better.
I have been a World Champion. I have trained World Champions. I have built businesses that failed and that thrived. I have walked away from everything I knew and started over completely – multiple times. I have had my very identity stripped from me, and have had the strange, sometimes terrifying, and often wonderful experience of the journey back.
I believe in people. I believe in their strength and their wisdom. I believe in their love and capacity to positively impact their world. I believe in their ability to do more than they think they can. I am honored to have the opportunity to help people tap into their deepest sense of self.
